The Ethnic Vampire War ~ Act III Kreef awoke as dusk settled into the valley. He made haste to locate his man-servant and to perhaps glean a report regarding the Ethnic Vampire War. Had Demonique struck the Bronzed-Skins? How far would he go before he stopped? Would he slaughter all species, all colors but his own? Kreef glanced at his reflection as he passed through the hall noting that he, too would be on Demonique's list as they were two separate colors, two separate vampire species. Yonamus was correct - Kreef would be getting involved, whether he approved of the war, or not. His roll in the war became crystal clear as he exited the castle in search of his man-servant, finding him slaughtered and propped up by the garden wall. Kreef was seized
with remorse - something that he'd not felt in many decades now.
Remorse - wasn't that a human quality? He suddenly didn't
care, he decided as he took his servant's limp body and carried
him back into the castle. If Demonique wanted war, then he'd
damn-well have it! Weeks passed, then months, then years yet the war continued. One-half of the vampire population had been wiped out by the Ethnic Vampire War. But the time had come for the war to end, for Kreef had tracked Demonique and had cornered him in the garden by the castle. How fitting that this lion should die the death of a mouse - and in the same spot as his servant, Yonamus. Kreef yielded a sword - intent on plunging it through Demonique's heartless body. Demonique was well aware of his impending demise, and made light of such. "Know that you are not better than I - only luckier on this day. Remember that, Kreef." Kreef mocked him with a laugh, then eased out, "I will only remember the fear locked onto your cowardice face. For Yonamus I kill today - and with much satisfaction," he went on to acknowledge. Just before he plunged the sword into the heartless body, the sky was illuminated with a thousand bright lights and an explosion that was so loud that Kreef could hear nothing. The sword fell from his hand and he joined his enemy on the ground, both of them holding their hands over their ears, their bodies leaching in agony. As Kreef entered eternal death, realizing that the sun had just exploded into a million pieces, his servant's warning filled his head. "Kreef, I remember what it was like - the ethnic wars between humans. Many died, many sacrificed their lives for the effort and in the end, my kind was obliterated by a force that hedged into our society while we were focused on what didn't really matter. And the fact that your kind spars over color accentuates the fact that you aren't much different than the species you eradicated from earth...." Navigate Vampire Story by Clicking Below
The Vampire & The Cowboy - He had ridden so far, so long, that Jack's thighs still smelled of smoked leather from the saddle that sat astride his twenty-year old mare, Ladonya. And the horse wasn't happy about the extended ride. She had been blowing through her nostrils at him for the last ten minutes, the last gust a gnat's ass from Jack's ear. continue The Ethnic Vampire Wars -A thick layer of fog lay captive in the valley below the castle. It was the Ethnic Vampire Wars. continue Fashion Statement - Vampires - Vincent revolved his dark head slightly, moving his eyes mysteriously over the crowd. They loved him, without a doubt. His popularity was certainly nothing to scoff about. But would they love him still, if they knew that he was a vampire? continue Pretty In Pick - “Right here – pile it on right cheer,” the hick told Qieu, pointing his half-full fork of spaghetti to his plate. continue Goat's Pine al la Mode - Goat lived in a valley that was sparsely clothed with pines, red cedars, and sumac that turned a vivid red each autumn. As so was the season, for autumn had settled in for a brief visit that soon would welcome winter. continue Sweet Tooth, Sweet Fangs - Quinn studied the box of chocolates, finding them irresistible. continue Vampire Online - Jewel entered the chatroom, settling in for a relaxing night of frivolous chatter. The chats were always entertaining, and a pretty brainless way to chill out for the evening. continue Oh, My Aching Fang! - “Ouch! Don’t touch it! Get away from me, you old sawbones!” “Quit being such a baby,” Monique hissed, her beautiful pale face mere inches from Sandar's. “Well, it’s settled, dear. You’re going to need a dentist.” continue Vampire For Hire - It wasn’t easy, obtaining a decent night job. In the first place, not many businesses were willing to do interviews for the night slots during the late evening hours, after the sun went down. Being a vampire, that was the only time when Jase could face the world – during the dark of night, that is. continue
The Vampire Bat, el Desmodus rotundas - Blood sucking demon? Flying devil? Parasite from hell? Could these cruel descriptions be related to our little winged friend, the Vampire Bat? Yes, I'm afraid so. However, the myths and legends that portray these winged lovelies are highly exaggerated. continue
Transformation of a Vampire - You see him in the black night, at first an ominous silhouette cloaked by the sheen of a silver moon high overhead. The unique power of transformation is one of the most alluring talents of a Vampire… The shadow abruptly transforms from what appeared to be a man, into a wolf then vanishes into the night. For a moment, you believe you have imagined this phenomena but your sixth sense tells you that you've just crossed paths with a Vampire. continue Sky At Dawn sets the focus on vampires - funny, bumbling vampires. However, take note that a few of our tales measure a 4 on the Spooky Scale. Other than being a bit scary, all are 'wholesome'. Well, perhaps that's not the correct word to use. Let's just say that the language and content is 'nice', not naughty. Just scary.
