Humorous Vampire Story - Fun Told Story Around a Crackling Campfire Mother Minnie & the Vampire Next Door She darted her eyes around the garden as the focus of her troubling thoughts asked through the darkness, "What troubles you, dear Minnie? I heard you crying and knew I must come to see if you were in harm's way." Minnie watched him close the distance between them, Oliver's walk so smooth that it appeared he was floating. What a beautiful, harmless creature of the night, she went on to ponder. So misunderstood, just like her own self. "Oliver, I am sad to say that my son and his wife will be moving me to a retirement home come morning," Minnie managed, her voice breaking as she relayed her sad news. Oliver reached down and collected Minnie's withered hand, then eased out, "My dear Minnie, I feel that your sorrow grows much deeper than what you have told me. Could it be that the element of love is non-existent?" Minnie nodded, tears threatening as she told Oliver, "They do not love me. They could not. And I fear that they have never loved me. All those years of sacrificing for Sam were in vain, for when I was giving, he was taking - he never appreciated or understood the level of sacrifice I was making for him. And I suppose that losing his father at a young age was not of any help to the young boy." "Awe, do not dismiss his attitude," Oliver advised through the shadows, Minnie's hand still in his grasp. "We all have problems and troubles in life-" "You do not appear to have such," Minnie observed. "I've never known anyone who is so uplifting, so supportive, and kind. Were you such in life, as you are in death?" she asked him. Oliver narrowed his eyes at her as he drawled, "You are a very wise woman, Minnie. Very wise. You see much more than others see. As to my life, there was always brambles and thorns, but I managed to wind through the brush and come through my troubles a bit smarter than when I had entered. However, knowing what I know now, I would never return to the land of the living. It is best for some of us to remain among the shadows of the earth. It is how we embrace freedom - freedom from Man's rules." Navigate this Vampire Story by Page Page 1 | Page 2 | Page 3 | Page 4 | Page 5 Click Here to View Vampire Article Vault
