Vampire - Mirror Image & a Short Vampire Story
Written by Sky Taylor, Sky at Dawn
A human hull transformed into an everlasting prince of the night, a Vampire. So much is gained, but not without loss.
One with so many powers is now powerless to gaze into a simple looking glass.
What does this malaise represent? No turning back? A release from mankind, yet the need for mankind in order to survive?
The mirror is Man's mirage of vanity. The mirror is used every day to silently admire our given images, at times - multiple times a day. Even the most hideous of man would probably think hard and long before exchanging his appearance for someone else's.
Therefore vanity, even for the most hideous of our kind, is an inherent curse. A simple peer into a looking glass is such a basic gesture.
Yet with all the powers inhabited within a Vampire, this he cannot do. It is one instance where man still rules, vanity or otherwise. Now on to our sordid tale...
7 Centuries Bad Luck
Dameon's origin was immediately evident - for who could not recognize him for what he really was?
Pointed incisors, a dynamic widow's peak that bled into hair as dark as a moonless night, and long nails that invited the most nervous among humans to 'please bite me'.
Yes, you've probably guessed by now that Dameon is a five year old male - one who fights his mommy when finger clippers appear, and one who inherited his staunch widow's peak from Aunt Freeda.
We would like to tell you that Dameon was a good little boy, but not so.
He was a wretched explorer, continuously tottering into the woods that stretched adjacent to the small cottage where he and his family lived.
And it was on a cold Hallow's Eve when the small tot disappeared into the woods, slipping away unnoticed as his family munched on stovetop popcorn while engrossed in the latest edition of, "Pounds for Pounds", an English reality show that offered pounds to contestants losing weight.
It had reached its height of popularity, tonight's rendering being the last in the series. click here to continue
