Joe was preparing for his transformation as he glimpsed a full yellow moon flying high overhead through his open penthouse window. He was three flights up, feeling closer to the moon than to the street below, but the jump from the window would be a piece of cake once the transformation occurred.
He had pitched his clothes into a pile in one corner of the room anticipating his transformation. The address of his boss, one Joan Trotter, was marked in indelible ink on his right palm. Joe planned to make tracks directly for her house and eat her.
And he couldn't wait to eat Joan Trotter. Witch. What a mean boss. This afternoon when she unexpectedly announced that she was handing the Wayland account over to his co-worker, Wendy Walls, Joe had felt like running to the local market and poking holes in all of the hamburger packages.
