Jessie winced as a howl pierced the air, the scream of a man following shortly thereafter. Roland......she could only assume. With fear in her heart and courage in her soul, she trod through the forest, straining to catch sight of Roland and praying that whatever was out there was traveling in the opposite direction. Why, oh why, hadn't Roland surrendered what was not his? Thirty more steps and the fog suddenly cleared, Jessie finding herself hinged within a cove of the forest. Placing a hand to her throat to steady her heartbeat, she gasped as a large wolf appeared beneath the full moon before her. Snarling, growling and lunging - Jessie feared that this was the end for her. A sudden mystic glow cast itself on the forest floor and her eyes were momentarily drawn to the crystal ball laying on the forest floor just a stone's throw away. The image of the familiar gypsy appeared and she was suddenly addressing the wolf, ordering him to back away from Jessie. The wolf stopped short of Jessie, mere inches away from her frightened, trembling body. He snarled, realization striking Jessie. Roland.....there was no doubt, she decided as she tried to piece the puzzle together. The wolf scooped up the crystal ball and darted through the reappearing fog leaving Jessie unharmed. From this moment in time forward, she never doubted that gypsies and werewolves traveled hand-in-hand..... Navigate by Act: Act 1 | Act II | Act III
