Ghost Stories - The Peeping Tom
Written by Sky Taylor, Sky at Dawn
Looking in at life...
Jack readjusted the lenses on the telescope so that he could better focus on Ms. Katy Lane. Being ten stories up in a high-rise had its advantages. For one, Ms. Lane took no precautions in closing her blinds.
He was so excited! Why, he'd been waiting for this moment for weeks now. He'd finally gotten rid of Amber, sending her off to visit her mother. He loved Amber, but after five years of marriage, she wasn't as perky as in the old days. Jack craved some excitement - some thrills. What was life without thrills?
"Ah! Perfect!" he delighted as Ms. Lane meandered into the room, removing her belt and tossing it onto the bed.
Jack was proud of himself. It hadn't been easy with Amber snooping around, to get synchronized with Ms. Lane's private schedule. Generally, Ms. Lane arrived home at seven sharp, turned on the news, watched for ten minutes or so, stripped, then headed for the showers. Her old man usually arrived at eight and by that time, Amber was driving Jack overboard.
However, he'd been very sly and wasn't the average Peeping Tom. Every time that Amber had darted in on him, he'd been watching the sky overhead. All of the stargazing books that he'd purchased helped to cover up his bogus setup.
Jack was starting to get hot watching Ms. Lane working her way down to her birthday suit. Mother Nature had been extremely generous to Ms. Lane. My, oh my....
Five minutes later, the peep show was over and Ms. Lane had retired to the shower. Jack smugly laughed, still on a high thinking about how sly he was and no one even knew! It was his little secret.
He took one last look through the lens, checking it out. It was time to wrap up his gear because from here on out, it was Dullsville. Ms. Lane's old man would soon be walking through the door, so the party was over.
Jack darted his head back, nearly giving himself a whiplash over what he glimpsed through the scope. He was so upset that he almost knocked his setup over as he frantically tried to get the lens back in focus.
What the devil was Amber doing in the Lane's apartment?
Jack's lower jaw dropped as he saw his wife and Katy Lane's husband wrapped in a torrid embrace. Their lips were locked so tightly that he was certain they'd need to call a plumber to pull them loose.
"Slut! Just wait until you get home!" Jack spat out angrily. How dare Amber cheat on him! He would demand to know why she was in the Lane apartment and what the devil she was doing with ..... Wait.... No..that wouldn't do. That just wouldn't do at all.... He just couldn't share, his dirty little secret.....
